DEBRAUWER Laurent
MS engineer
Laurent was recruited to INRAE as a research engineer (IR) in 1990 after completing a PhD in organic chemistry and mass spectrometry (MS) in 1989 (Univ. Aix-Marseille) and a postdoctoral fellowship (Prof. JC Tabet, Univ. Paris 6). He developed original methods based on MS that he actively helped introduce and disseminate within the TOXALIM Unit and INRA. His work earned him the INRAE “Technological Innovation for Research” award in 2015. He founded the AXIOM team in 2004 and has played a major role in building and leading certified technological platforms (Metatoul, MetaboHUB, France Exposome) and in disseminating the Unit’s results through numerous publications and presentations. Recently appointed honorary member of the French Society for Mass Spectrometry, he continues his work on innovative uses of MS (ion production/activation) in the service of metabolomics and exposomics.
