Hervé GUILLOU, Ph.D., H.D.R., Research Director INRAE

Hervé obtained his doctorate in 2004 in Rennes (Agrocampus Ouest, supervised by Professor Legrand and Dr D'Andrea). His doctoral work is a study of FADS2, a key gene in fatty acid metabolism, using cell biology and biochemistry approaches. Then, he worked for three years on signaling by PI3 kinases in the team of Drs Len Stephens and Phill Hawkins (Babraham Institute, Cambridge, UK). In 2008, he joined the team where his research activity aims to develop the study of hepatic lipid metabolism as a consequence and/or initiating signal of endocrino-metabolic disturbances.

Muriel Mercier-Bonin

Muriel MERCIER-BONIN, Research Director INRAE

Between 1994 and 2012, Muriel carried out her research activities in Toulouse within the Biological Systems and Process Engineering Laboratory, as a doctoral student and then INRA research fellow on the mechanisms of interaction between microorganisms and surfaces. She then joined the MICALIS Unit in Jouy-en-Josas on the mucus/bacteria dialogue, in an in vitro-in vivo continuum. Since 2014, she has led a research theme in the Neuro-Gastroenterology and Nutrition team around the structural and functional role of mucus in xenobiotic/microbiota/host interrelationships in the digestive tract, under physiological and physiopathological conditions.
