The 43rd Mycotoxin Workshop was held in Toulouse from May 30 to June 1, 2022

More than 180 scientists from 21 countries gathered in a prestigious place in Toulouse, the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques for the 43rd Mycotoxin Workshop organized on behalf of the "Society for Mycotoxin Research" by several Toulouse research groups around Isabelle Oswald and Olivier Puel and their "Biosynthesis and Toxicity of Mycotoxins" team from Toxalim, in cooperation with the Chemical Engineering Laboratory, the Purpan School of Engineering and the Pharma-DEV laboratory, IRD, UPS.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) : evidence of its toxicity

In an opinion published on 6 May 2021, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) concludes that E171 (titanium dioxide) is no longer considered safe when used as a food additive. Their opinion is based in particular on pioneering research conducted by researchers of team ENTeRisk in collaboration with team PPCF at Toxalim (INRAE Occitanie-Toulouse).

"Women and men of science" the 50 years photo exhibition takes place at Toxalim

The "Women and men of science" exhibition, created as part of the 50th anniversary of the INRAE Occitanie-Toulouse center, is being exported to 180 chemin de Tournefeuille in the premises of the Toxalim unit. Installed from April 7 and made up of 50 photographs, it honors INRAE agents in Toulouse and allows visitors to discover the diversity of activities carried out at our center.
