The 43rd Mycotoxin Workshop was held in Toulouse from May 30 to June 1, 2022

More than 180 scientists from 21 countries gathered in a prestigious place in Toulouse, the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques for the 43rd Mycotoxin Workshop organized on behalf of the "Society for Mycotoxin Research" by several Toulouse research groups around Isabelle Oswald and Olivier Puel and their "Biosynthesis and Toxicity of Mycotoxins" team from Toxalim, in cooperation with the Chemical Engineering Laboratory, the Purpan School of Engineering and the Pharma-DEV laboratory, IRD, UPS.

The scientific program was organized around five themes:

  1. Occurrence and analyzes of mycotoxins in food, animal feed and physiological samples,
  2. Genetics, biology and new secondary metabolites from toxigenic fungi,
  3. Effects of mycotoxins on human and animal health,
  4. Toxicity and Risk Assessment
  5. Food and feed safety
  • This allowed young scientists to present their latest research results on mycotoxins during 37 conferences and 83 poster presentations.
  • This scientific program was accompanied by excellent moments of conviviality allowing productive scientific discussions, the establishment of new contacts and new collaborations. Thanks to numerous sponsors (INRAE ​​and private), a walking tour of the city of Toulouse, a boat trip on the Canal du Midi and an exceptional gala dinner were offered by the local organizers.
