Denis Corpet made the news in a national news magazine

An article in Le Point (Feb. 2, 2012) highlights the work of the TOXALIM research team, E9-PPCA, on colon cancer promoters potentially present in our diet

The article by Stéphane Thépot "The anti-cancer recipes of Denis Corpet" (Le Point, 2055, February 2, 2012 - in French*) paints a very sympathetic portrait of our colleague.

  • Nutritionist, specialized in colonic cancer, Professor Denis Corpet (National Veterinary School of Toulouse), recently granted Françoise Guéraud (CR1, INRA) the full administrative responsibility of the team "Promotion-Prevention of Cancer by Food" (Team E9-PPCA of the TOXALIM research centre in food toxicology) he headed for many years (associated research unit with INRA since 1997), to concentrate more and more on the compilation of the scientific literature in this area.
  • Denis is a firm believer in the integration of science in society and the usefulness of popularizing science, especially in the fields of food, nutrition and health.
  • Main target of his research team: the carcinogenic effects of the iron-containing heme in the hemoglobin molecule, structurally present in red meat.
